I remember Mr. Gainey's bright smile and humor when I would visit him and Chick Ganley (which became my father-in-law) in the break room of the Larson Bldg. I was a fresh out of high school and it was my first "real" job in early 1970. I received a lot of encouragement and good advice that I carried throughtout my career. Mr. Gainey was a terrific man. He and his wife Sarah were good friends of my inlaws, came to mine & David's wedding. I will never forget both these wonderful people.

Jimmy Gainey was one of the finest men I have ever known. I first met him in 1947 and became the first babysitter for his precious daughter, Lisa. Jimmy taught me how to drive and gave me away at my wedding in 1962. Sarah and Jimmy have been a very important part of my life and I will miss Jimmy terribly. He will always remain in my heart.

Love you, Jimmy!

I knew and worked with Jim for years and he was always one of my favorite people. I had the good fortune to run into him at the store over the summer and he was his same happy self. I'm sorry to hear of his passing - its a tremendous loss for us all. My sympathies to the family....
