I had the pleasure of playing with Jason for a season and playing against him several others. He was the definition of a great teammate and good sportsmanship on the soccer field. Wish I had gotten to know him more off the pitch. RIP Jason.

I scrubbed my very first case with Jason when I was a student and then I was lucky enough to start working with him when I graudated. He always made people feel good, even if they were completely down in the dumps. He could always make people smile. It was a pleasure to have known him. I was very lucky to have him as a friend. Miss you Jason.

I worked with Jason in the operating room many times until I retired from medicine a year ago. Jason was delightful to work with; bright conscientious, skillful caring and funny. If I had a particularly challenging case, I always asked for Jason's help. The world is emptier without him.

Jason was one of a kind. He will always hold such a special and warm place in my heart. This is still so surreal and difficult to wrap my mind around. My heart is with each of the Scribners. Lots of love and prayers that the Lord will hold each of you in His loving arms with peace and mercy during this time.

I have not been close to Jason in some years...geography has a way with that. His smile and laughter will always fill a room in my heart and my memories, and oh how many of those are from the soccer field. My prayers are with his family...Until we meet again, my friend...send my love to Jon, as I know you two are up there playing ball again.

I have played with Jason, and against Jason, during the last few seasons at Warner Soccer's Super Six League. He was not only a great, positive, and talented player who gave his all, but also a person who made other players enjoy both playing with and against him. His compliments to me were very valuable. The Saturday before he passed, we joked during the game, after he scored an awesome goal off my assist, about how well we were clicking on the field.

In the limited interactions between us (some of it in Portuguese), I grew to like him much not only as a player, but, mostly, as a great person.

Our entire team (he played with my "Cosmos" team on Saturdays) is deeply saddened by Jason's passing.

I got to know Jason on the Soccer fields in Tallahassee. He was a very strong athlete, but one unlike many of us, who always seemed to realize that soccer, was just a game. His smile was contagious, and even on this sad occasion, thinking of him right now brings a grin to my face. A sly grin like the one Jason so often wore, one that could make a person wonder if Jason knew something that we all wish we could have known as well. He is a person that that will truly be missed by his friends now that his journey here on earth comes to an end. God be with his family.

I met Jason about a year and half ago; I liked him instantly. I've always been a sucker for someone that can make me laugh and we did a lot. He lived just down the road from me so we spent some time jabbering on about anything and everything while he would mindlessly kick his soccer ball around his living room. I still seem to look in the direction of his apartment while heading home everyday; half expecting to see him. I will miss him terribly but I am happy to have known him. He will always hold a special place in my heart.

I met Jason, years ago, when I was at GCCC. I only knew him for about a year (as I graduated and moved away), but even in that short time, we shared a number of laughs. The one thing that I will remember about Jason was that he was so easy to get along with; people genuinely enjoyed his company (I was no different). As I've said to friends, when you hear of someone's passing, you always hear people say how nice and great that person was. In this case, I know all the great things that people are saying are true. Jason really was a great guy. I just regret not doing a better job keeping in contact. Rest in Peace, bro. I promise to do a better job keeping in contact on the other side.

A million times we will miss him.
A million times we will cry.
If love alone could have saved him,
He never would have died.
In life we loved him dearly,
In death we will love him still.
In our hearts he will hold a place no other can fill.
The golden gates stood open,
God saw that he needed the rest.
God's garden must be beautiful, because he always
Picks the best.
