Jimmy Charlton Obituary
Retired U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant Jimmy Lee Charlton, Sr., 75, passed unexpectedly at home on Monday, February 16, 2015. Services celebrating his life are 11 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church. Full military burial honors will follow in Desota Field Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 3-7 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850) 942-1950. A 26-year U. S. Air Force veteran, Mr. Charlton was an avid fisherman who enjoyed all sports. His wife, Lucille Bates Charlton, predeceased him in November 2014. Treasuring his love and legacy are: his son, Jimmy Lee Charlton, Jr., daughter, Everlena Zoe (Rick Delaney) Charlton; seven brothers, Wilson Jr. (Marvene), Wilfred (Annette), Wendell, Anthony, Wilbur (Sheila), William (Lillian) and Reggie (Sherry) Brown; four sisters, Annie Mae Washington, Brenda Ramona Brown, Regina Haggins and Otha G. Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Philip Charlton and Mary Lee Brown; one brother, five sisters and one sister-in-law.
