Joy S. James

Joy S. James Joy S. James, 87, died Friday, June 1, 2007. A celebration of Joy's life will be held between 2 and 4 p.m. EDT Saturday at Cabot Lodge, 2735 North Monroe St. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Bevis Funeral Home Tallahassee (850-385-2193 or www.bevisfh.com) is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity, 2921 Roberts Ave., Tallahassee, FL 32310. Joy was a native of London, England and moved from Largo to Tallahassee in 1994. She was a member of Gray Memorial United Methodist Church and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Kramer of Tallahassee and Marilyn Williams of Franklin, N.C.; and one son, Allan James of Lillooet, British Columbia, Canada; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death, in 1986, by her husband, Frank James.
