Larry Watts Obituary
Larry Watts, formerly of Tallahassee died in Oxford, MS on April 12, at age 74. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Waller Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Friday, April 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Pensacola Memorial Gardens in Pensacola, FL. Larry earned a Masters of Science degree from Florida State University. He was a television production manager at WFSU-TV in the early 1970s and later worked at the Federal Correctional Institution as a teacher. Subsequent transfers and promotions with the prison service took him to Memphis, TN, Miami, FL, Houston, TX and Brunswick, GA. He was retired from federal civil service in 1994. Larry was also an Air Force retiring from the Air Force Reserve as a Master Sargeant in 1n 1992. He is survived by his children Lisa Larue of Oxford, MS, son Brad Watts and his wife Mary Ann of Tallahassee, Fl, daughter Meridith Wirtz of Brewster, MA, grandchildren Harry Thomas Watts, Emma Ann Wirtz, Silas Asher Wirtz, Lila Marie Scout Wirtz. Larry was a Christian. He loved his family, baseball, motorcycles, old music, old friends, his country and his God. He was life-long democrat. Memorial contributions in Mr. Watts' memory may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.

Larry was a true friend and a avid fellow cyclist. We spent many good times riding together. Unfortunately time separates friendships and old pals . I regret not keeping in touch. GOD bless him and his family.

Larry was a good friend of 53 years. Marie and I were classmates and I was there for Lisa's birth at Reno. I'll miss Larry and our good-natured political arguments. He was a good friend and we were together in Pensacola, Japan, Reno, Birmingham, and Fort Walton. My condolences to Larry's family. He was my good friend and will be missed.
