Dear Cat & Family:

It is with deep regret and sorrow for your loss, having suffered the same a short time ago. I hope you find comfort in the good Lew did during his life, that he fought the good fight against a terrible desease and the good Lord saw fit to call him home. I am sure he was needed.

Dear lady Catherine, Children, and Family Members:

The Members of Morocco Hospitality would like to extend to you and the family our deepest sympathy. Our Imperial Sir Lou is now absent from the earthly body and present with our Lord, our Saviour, and no longer has to endure the pain and surrering that is so often present with our earthly bodies. I became a Shriner in November 1983. My very special memories are the years when I was Morocco Video Coordinator making movies of our activities. I had more fun than our parade units. A very special moment for me was at the Imperial Session in San Antonio, Texas, July 3-8, 1993. I was, again, having fun while videoing the parade in front of the Reviewing Stand. All of a sudden I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around to find Imperial Sir Lou presenting me with an old fashion church type hand operated fan that Imperial Potentate Everett M. Evans was giving away. I was instructed to use the fan to help me stay cool. I still have the fan.

I rented business space from Lew for a number of years "Lawton Vaughan Signs, Inc.". Due to Lew's nature, I along with my two son's, enjoyed the privilege of hunting on his farm in Hillard many times. These are such fond memories and also his joy of children truly showed.

May 14, 2004

Senator Brantley was one of my favorite people over here. I remember one time there was this unknown resident that kept sending out terrible messages relating to Sen. Brantley and others. Sen. Brantley taught me somenting when he wrote the offemder with the same name and said to him, "I want to advise you that some unprincipled s.o.b. is using your name to spread scurrilous and untrue statements. If it does not stop for some reason, I will nave no alternative but to seek legal action." It stopped.

I was from Jacksonville and also served on the Senate staff and enjoyed Sen. Brantley and his staff very much. I am very sorry to see he has passed on.

My very best to his family and friends, and brother Charles who was in Lions Club with me over here.

John Keane

May 14, 2004

We are sadden at the passing of our good friend Lew Brantley, a good a just man, who spent his entire adult like helping people. From his early civic involvement as a Member of the Jaycees, Lew was a leader. His long years of service in many roles in the Florida Legislature was capped with his term as President of Florida Senate. Lew was active in many business activities and his business relationships led to lasting friendships. He led the Morocco Shrine, and the Shrine of North America. He was a strong supporter of the Shrine Hospitals.

He labored long and hard for humanity. Lew will remain in our prayer. Rest peace, my friend, your long journey is over.

Our deepest sympthay to the family.
