Lola Hightower Obituary

Lola Manning Hightower

Lola Manning Hightower, 60, of Monticello's Wacissa Community slipped into the arms of her Savior, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, November 6, 2015. Services celebrating her life will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethpage Missionary Baptist Church, with burial in Bethpage Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 3-7 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF MONTICELLO (850-997-5553). A lifelong Wacissa resident, Lola was a devoted member of Bethpage, where she diligently served as Financial Secretary; member of Choir # 2, Heart-to-Heart Ministry and Youth Adviser for the Praise Team. A 1973 graduate of Jefferson County High School, she was a Grants Administrator for the Jefferson County Extension Office. Lola's love and memory will be cherished forever by her loving husband, Thomas Hightower; son, Carlos (Sabrina) Hightower; daughter, Carlissa Hightower; brothers, Reverend Moderator Issac (Minister Constance) Manning, Jr., Wilbur (Regina) Manning, Horace Mannng and Dwayne Manning; sisters, Dr. Pam (Dr. Pink, Jr.) Hightower, Willie Mae Manning, Patricia Manning (Cornelius) Jackson and Lisa (Bishop Alvin) Stewart; mother-in-law, Mrs. Gussie Hightower; five grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and loving friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Issac Sr. and Betty Jane Parker Manning.
