Louie Hosey Obituary

Louie Hosey WETUMPKA - Louie Hosey, 69, died Thursday, July 31, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nan Hosey. The service will be at 11 a.m. EDT Saturday at Antioch Baptist Church in Wetumpka, with burial at Hillcrest Cemetery in Quincy. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. EDT today at Independent Funeral Home in Quincy (875-1529). Memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308-5328. A member of Providence Baptist Church, he had attended Antioch Baptist Church. He was a member of the National Security Council Education Foundation and the Wetumpka Volunteer Fire Department. Other survivors include three sons, Terry "Buddy" Hosey (and wife Shelia) of Quincy, Donnie Hosey (and wife Terri) of Tallahassee and Louie Dale Hosey (and wife Carolyn) of Quincy; two daughters, Sharon Harrison (and husband Jimmy) and Shelby Morris (and husband Daryl), both of Wetumpka; his mother, Bertha Lee Nix of Blountstown; three brothers, J.R. Hosey of Clearwater, S.C., Ike "Bill" Hosey of Chattahoochee and Tommy Hosey of Wetumpka; three sisters, Hattie Sanders of Wetumpka, Betty Askew of Bainbridge, Ga., and Mable Grainger of Clearwater, S.C.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
