Weren't you here just yesterday, offering me advice?
I seem to still feel your arms from when you hugged me tight.
Is that your cologne I smell lingering in the air?
Or the leather scent of your vest that you like to wear?
Was that the roar of your Harley Davidson that went past?
Or the clinking of your ring upon a drinking glass?
The wooden swing is swaying from where you recently sat.
I turn expecting to see you, wondering where you're at.
I hear that song playing that you like so much
And wonder if the jukebox played upon your touch.
I seem to hear your laughter that is so much a part of you
I feel your helping hands in everything I do
If I am saddened or feel the least unease

Pop, not a single day goes by that I do not miss you. You have touched my heart and my life more than words can say. You did not want us to grieve for you but my heart hurts so much at times it is hard not to cry. You were always here for me and I keep expecting to turn and see you. You were a great man and an awesome father. You would be humbled to know how very, very much you are loved. I cherish the memories that I have of you and I will never forget you. See you soon, Pop. Marvin, (Breeze) is one of my two little brothers. I have loved him, fought with him, bossed him and mothered him for 52 years but that was not near enough. To put into words how much I miss him is impossible but I can tell you my heart is broken. While reading all the kind and thougthful words that have been expressed to the family I found the one constant is how Marvin made everyone feel loved and special. In the late 80,s Marvin prayed and accepted Jesus as his personal saviour. In October '06 we had the opportunity to talk about his experience and he assured me that he knew Jesus and was going to spend eternity with Him. To read the words of people Marvin has loved, made laugh, helped, listened to and just cared for is a testament of the love that Jesus placed in his heart. This gives me such comfort and peace, because Marvin has only moved to a brand new home where Jesus along with our parents were waiting to receive him with open arms. Marvin is the middle child and never had one on one time with Mama and Daddy until now. I can assure you that he is loving it. Yes, I miss him to the point that I can hardly breathe sometimes but I know it is only a matter of time before we will be together again. Thank you for loving my Marvin.

Breeze was my mentor, my brother, my co-worker, my best friend, my father. Its so hard to describe what he meant to me. Its so hard not to look up every time the door opens to see you not walking in but your spirit will live on thru my eyes when I ride you ride when I drink you Drink. Breeze-You will missed more than any words could ever discribe. It's hard to image going to the next function and not seeing your sparkling eyes or smile, but we all know that your on that endless highway in the sky still watching over us. We sure will miss you!

Saturday was an incredible day for the services for Breeze - for all those who traveled far and wide or those who came up from the county. The numbers of folks assembled in his memory was humbling. Blessings to his family, and the brothers and sisters who showed their respects. Ride free.

Pop was a person who, anyone who knew him even for a brief moment would be left with a life time of memories and love. He was the life of the party, and he and “Momma always made everyone feel welcomed and loved. He never met a stranger, and any new acquaintance would leave from meeting him with the feeling that they were a new found best friend. I learned though him that you don’t judge people for their appearance, but from the love they give. I will forever be grateful to have known him. And feel blessed to be considered a part of his family. I love you Momma

I met Breeze back in October 2005, and found him to be a very warm hearted genuine guy. I only met him briefly, and in that short space of time I could tell that if you were in need of help, he'd be there for you.
So thanks to me finding a friend his niece (Bobbie Jean) I had the pleasure of meeting a great man.
My regards and thoughts go out to his family, for I will surely miss him.
