Mary Barineau Obituary

Mary Frances Barineau Mary Frances Barineau, 89, went to Heaven on Tuesday, July 8, 2008. She is free of the worldly trials and is in complete peace and perfect happiness. She is with her family and many friends that have gone before her, what a joyous reunion. She is survived by a daughter, Debbie Byrd (Paul Jr.); her son, Paul III (Pam) and their three children, Cassidy Jeane Byrd, Paul Wallace Byrd IV and Jesse Daniel Byrd; a son, Richard Denson Barineau (Cindy) and their two sons Jeremie Barineau and Kyle Barineau; a son-in-law, Doug Busch, his son Brad (Lina) and his granddaughter Andrea Nicole Busch; a stepson, Gwen Hentz Barineau Jr. and his two children, David and Susie; three sisters-in-law, Rhona Mae Layfield, Wanda Humphrey and Eloise Barineau; and brother-in law Lenis Barineau; a nephew, Luther Bruce Jr. (Linda) and their children and grandchildren; and a large extended church family. The family would like to express special thanks to loving and dedicated team at River Chase Care Center, the Elder Care caregivers at the Adult Day Care at Gray Memorial United Methodist Church and the Joy Sunday School Class at Forest Heights Baptist Church for their cards throughout the years and the incredible folks at Big Bend Hospice. She enjoyed beautiful flowers her whole life, so in lieu of flowers, she would prefer that you give a caregiver a hug and a break, make a donation to missions and Big Bend Hospice. Mother had many ways to express her love and several of them were sharing her books (she loved to read), her pound cake and chocolate pie. She will always be known as a woman who loved the Lord and loved to tell folks about Him. She was a teacher in the most complete way, she lived what she believed and taught. She would end this by saying "I love you and I'll see you in Heaven." The service will be at 10 a.m. EDT Saturday, July 12, at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Riggins Road Chapel (850-877-8191), with burial at Oakland Cemetery.

Debbie, my condolences go out to you and your family as you experience a big loss. I read the obituary today and very nicely written. As one of your co-workers from past life at Centel, I have experienced the same tramatic loss
of my dear Mom, Louelle only four months ago. I know you remember her from operator services and she baked a good pound cake too.
It's tough I know , I pray for your comfort and you are right she is in a better place.

What a great leader and teacher. We were friends before she was my Sunday school teacher. Our husbands worked togather before they both passed. My prayers go out to her lovely family. She wil be missed by every one.

What a wonderful legacy this lady leaves behind. I was in her Sunday School class for many years and loved the way she "promoted" with us as we aged to another class. She was a great Bible scholar and teacher and one of the best friends I could ask for. For many years, she wanted to go be with the Lord and wondered why He lingered to take her. Now she is rejoicing at his feet. How thrilled I am for her. She will be selfishly mourned. Love y'all. Nora
