Michael Halstead Obituary
Michael Brandon Halstead, 29, of Crawfordville, died unexpectedly with his fiance Rachel Lillian Sheffield on Friday, September 16, 2016. Rachel was the love of his life. Michael loved animals, Gator football, swimming and being outdoors. He rescued a German Shepherd "Princess" 4 years ago and they have always protected one another. Michael volunteered at Voices of Chance Animal League in Tallahassee, had a big eagle collection and worked in the construction industry, specializing in garage doors.
He is survived by his mother Beverly Denise Walsh (David), 2 sisters Joy Mitchell (David) & Kelly Clayton (Charles), nephew Brendan Mitchell, niece Lily Mitchell and aunt Debra Reynolds (Mike).
Family will receive friends Wednesday, September 21, 2016, 6:00-8:00 pm at Family Funeral Home, 84 Ochlockonee St., Crawfordville. A Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, September 22, 2016, 2:00 pm at Havana First Baptist Church, 116 E. 6th Ave., Havana.

Michael was a great friend was always there when i needed him in high school we were in the same class with mr duggar every time he came to school he always had a smile on his face, hope your having the time of your life with rachel up there rest in peace

Michael rode my church bus in Wakulla when he was 15 years old. He was a great kid and I really enjoyed being his friend. I took him fishing a few times on the river and we had a blast catching bream. I am very sorry for the families loss. I remember when Michael asked the Lord Jesus to save him and when he was baptized in Lake Ellen in Crawfordville. I pray God will give his family peace and comfort during the days ahead.
