Mildred Bryant Obituary
Smyrna - Mildred Elizabeth Hall Bryant, age 88; formerly of Pass Christian, MS, passed away Friday, July 5, 2019. A memorial service will be held later at St. Benedict Episcopal Church, Smyrna. Mrs. Bryant was born and raised in Inverness, Florida, the daughter of Guy and Mildred Hall. She attended Florida State University where she obtained a degree in Primary Education and Social Work. In 1956 she married Bronson Bryant of Gainesville, FL. Mildred taught school in Green Cove Springs, FL; Birmingham, AL; and Bay St. Louis, MS. She was very active with the Pass Christian unit of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Boys and Girls Club, and as a mental health advocate with the Mississippi Mental Health Assoc. In Smyrna, Mildred enjoyed tutoring adult literacy students. Millie was a big part of every church her husband served and was beloved by many. She was preceded in death by her son Bronson Stephen Bryant. Surviving are her husband of 62 years Bronson Bryant, son Jonathan (Patricia) Bryant, daughter Elizabeth Bryant (Christopher) DiGiorgio, grandchildren Zachary and Noah DiGiorgio, Dillon and Emily Bryant. David and Lee Hood; Marion Hood;, Fran, Lonnie and Shelby Burch extend our sincerest condolences. Millie and Bronson were part of our lives at Trinity Church in Pass Christian. She had a most genuine smile and infectious laugh.
