Nettie Tyson Obituary

Nettie B. Tyson Nettie B. Tyson, 95, died Friday, Feb. 17, 2006. The service will be at 2 p.m. EST Monday at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road in Gotha. Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. EST until the service Monday at Woodlawn Memorial Park Funeral Home. Beggs Funeral Home Apalachee Parkway Chapel (850-942- 2929) is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tallahassee Senior Center, 1400 N. Monroe St., Tallahassee, FL 32306, or Meals on Wheels, 2518 W. Tennessee St., Tallahassee, FL 32306. A native of Jackson County and former resident of Trenton, she had lived in Tallahassee for the past 12 years. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She is survived by a stepdaughter, Helen Henderson of Phoenix; eight grandchildren, Jack Skipper Jr. of San Antonio, Ken Skipper of Tallahassee, Marsha Hengen of Rapid City, S.D., Roger Skipper of Merritt Island, Doug Johnson of Castle Rock, Colo., Judy Tehan of Tallahassee, Donna Flowers of Moultrie, Ga., and Nettie Hatcher of Sylvester, Ga.; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, O.D. Tyson, and a son, Jack Skipper.
