Paul Henningsen

Tallahassee - Paul Kilian Henningsen, 85, of Tallahassee, Florida passed away peacefully on February 13th after battling a terminal illness; he was surrounded by his loving children. Paul was born in Helsingor, Denmark on July 13, 1935, to Sigvald and Karen (Kilian) Henningsen. He emigrated to America where he met his wife of 52 years, Bettie Lou Christina (Warner), in Chicago, Illinois and joined the United States Marine Corps. In 1974 the couple moved to Tallahassee where they resided ever since. Paul is preceded in death by his beloved wife, his parents, his brother Henning, and his sister, Karen. He is survived by his sister, Kirsten; four children, Robin Henningsen Bruce, Karen Henningsen Binder, Shawn Henningsen, and John Henningsen; nine beautiful grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Paul had an unwavering work ethic and dedicated his life to caring for his family. A well-known fixture in downtown Tallahassee and a long time youth soccer coach, he left an impression on everyone who met him. Paul's immediate family will be celebrating his life in a private manner.
