Ruby Ford Obituary
Ruby Roberts Ford, age 82, passed away February 3, 2013.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 9, 2013, at 12:00 noon at the Waukeenah United Methodist Church, followed by interment at Waukeenah Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday February 8, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Beggs Funeral Home Monticello Chapel, 485 East Dogwood St., Monticello, FL 32344 (850) 997-5612). In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions are made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723-1 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308 or the Waukeenah United Methodist Women's Group, 81 Methodist Church Rd, Monticello, FL 32344.
Ms. Ruby (as she was known by her many friends) was a native of Jacksonville, Alabama She lived in several places including Atlanta, GA before moving to Jefferson County in 1979. She worked for the Federal Reserve Bank in Atlanta, and Capital City Bank in Monticello before pursuing her passion of cooking through Something Special Catering. Ruby was well known for her biscuits, fried chicken and wedding cakes, which she loved to make. But most of all she loved her family. She was a devout Christian and was a member of the Waukeenah United Methodist Church for over 33 years.
Ms. Ruby is survived by two sons: Mike Ford of Atlanta, GA and Mark Ford of Monticello, FL; two daughters Dianne Canning of Spokane, WA and Deborah Moore of Alpharetta, GA; five grandchildren Jason Moore, Andrew Moore, Melissa Anziano, Elizabeth Ford and Christi Richter and six great Grandchildren.
Ms. Ruby is preceded in death by her husband Harold L Ford.

We loved Ms. Ruby so and will miss her. She was a great encourager and her life reflected the Way very, very well. She was one patient person!
