Stephaine Williams

Tallahassee - Stephanie E. Williams, 59, of Tallahassee, passed away Monday, June 14, 2021, at University of Florida Shands Hospital. She was born November 10, 1961 in Tallahassee, FL. Stephanie worked at various State of Florida agencies. In her last position, she worked as a Senior Clerical specialist at Florida State University in the Office of the Registrar. She is a 1979 graduate of Leon High School and 1985 graduate of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.

Stephanie was a member of Philadelphia Primitive Baptist Church and served as a member of the Youth Choir, Youth Usher Ministries, and the Matron's Auxiliary.

She is survived by the following family members: her sister, Gwendolyn Williams-McGhee (Vernon) of Tallahassee, FL; one nephew, Vance W. McGhee, of Fort Myers, FL; cousins, Fred D. Lee, Jr. (Patricia), Lillie Sneed-Ferrell, all of Tallahassee, FL and Daryl Lee (Beverly), Dallas, TX and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be 11 AM, Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Philadelphia Primitive Baptist Church with burial at Mt. Zion Cemetery (Millers Landing Road). Social distancing and mask wearing are required during the service.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George R. and Ollie Sneed Williams of Tallahassee, FL.

Stephanie , we had some very good days in class at Leon High School, being in the same class, we were a team that all way step up and all ways did our parts. We all ways came prepared to be successful to do our part, been the only two blacks in that are those classes. You Stephanie was all way on target, we The Class of 1979 ".
