Terry Cooper Obituary

Terry Lanier Cooper Terry Lanier Cooper, 41, who was a property manager, died Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at Shands Hospital in Gainesville. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Renee Cooper. The service will be at 10 a.m. EDT Friday at Saint Paul's United Methodist Church, with burial at Culley's MeadowWood Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. EDT today at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Riggins Road Chapel (877-8191). Family also will receive friends after the service at 3 p.m. EDT at the home of Terry and Cheryl. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lung Transplant Fund, Attn: Le McGinn, 1600 S.W. Archer Road, Gainesville, FL 32610. Terry was born in Perry and lived in Tallahassee. He was the president of Tallahassee Land Management and was licensed as a real-estate agent and a real-estate appraiser. He was a member of Saint Paul's United Methodist Church. In 1999 he graduated magna cum laude from Florida State University. Terry was the recipient of a bilateral lung transplant on April 5, 2003. Other survivors include his daughter, Sydney Beatrix Cooper; his mother, Theresa Lorraine Cooper of Tallahassee; a brother, Barry Cooper (and wife Zoe); two nephews, Kevin Cooper and Lance Cooper; an uncle, Henry "Uncle Sonny" Dobbs; his mother- and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. N. Brinson Roddenberry; and seven brothers- and sisters-in-law, Rhonda and Paul Corley, Theresa Reagan, Brent and Lisa Roddenberry and Leigh and Siggy Brocks. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Anthony "Tony" Cooper.
