Vicki Woody Obituary

Vicki Woody

Knoxville TN- Vicki Woody (formerly Vicki Chamberlain) crossed over peacefully on Thursday Feb. 2. 2017 after a long illness.

Vicki's life began on July 25,1952 in Youngstown OH.

Vicki attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, but ultimately followed her passion for finance. This led her to a life-long career in banking. For 40 years Vicki held prominent positions as a commercial lender and investment banker with Wachovia and Capital City Banks. In 2006 she passed the Certified Treasury Professional Exam earning one of the highest distinctions in treasury finance.

Vicki was an amazing gardener, decorator and seamstress. She appreciated fine art and loved antiquing. She sought new adventures, conversations and anything that would make her laugh. She is best described as a true lover of life, dynamo, and someone who never met a stranger.

She will live on in the hearts of her husband Rick Woody and his daughters Leigh Woody and Leslie Woody. Her children Joshua (Jenn) Chanberlain and Whitney (Scott) Greer; her grandchildren Dudley, Grace, Olan, Rossi and Charlie; her mother Donna Masters; her sisters Patrica (Jim) Pieron, Jane Miller (Randy), and Marlolan ( Ed) Sunseri; three nieces; five great-nieces; one great-nephew; and several aunts and uncles.

"We would like to express our appreciation to all that gave us their prayers and compassion during this difficult time."

At Vicki's request her family will come together in Ohio in the Spring to share in the celebration of her life.

For anyone who would like to honor her, her wish is that you make a donation to the American Cancer Society or your local animal shelter.
