Havana, FL - Wilbert Washington, 58, died Saturday, November 9, 2019.
Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Little Salem P.B. Church, 1998 Wakulla Arran Road in Crawfordville, FL with burial at Tallahassee National Cemetery on MONDAY, November 18, 2019 @ 11:00 AM.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Washington; one son, Captain Enrique Harris (Jane'); one brother, Dale Washington; one sister, Gail Blocker (Henry), 3 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mya Washington.

To God I give the glory. Wilbert Washington you will forever be my favorite cousin and friend. We've shared some laughter working together at HRS which will become Leon Juvenile Detention. I will truly missed going to basketball games and talking for hours on the phone making you laugh repeatedly throughout our conversation. My condolences to the Washington Family. Wilbert Washington was a very dear friend. It didn't matter how long it was between conversations, it was always like it was just yesterday. His smile and that look he always gave will be etched in my heart. He and I spoke a couple weeks ago and we were planning to hang out during the holidays. Unfortunately, God had better plans for my friend. Sleep well my friend. We will see each other again.

Expressing my deepest sympathy to the family of Wilbert Washington. I had the opportunity of working with him at the Leon Co Regional Juvenile Detention Center while attending FAMU; it was there that we developed a great friendship. He truly was a great person that I was proud to say was a friend. May God provide strength and comfort.
