William A. Eaton Jr. William A. "Bill" Eaton Jr., 84, passed away peacefully among family members Tuesday, July 31, 2007. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Evelyn Eaton. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Boulevard, Tallahassee, FL 32308. Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home is handling arrangements (850-893-4177). Bill was born March 5, 1923 in Talking Rock, Ga. He graduated from Marietta High School before serving in the U.S. Air Force and graduating from F.S.U. in 1953. As a C.P.A., he worked for various state agencies and retired from the Supreme Court of Florida as Chief Internal Officer in 1988. His memberships included the Capital City Lions Club, the Tallahassee Old Timers Club and the International Christian Leadership Club. He is also survived by his children, Lane Eaton (and Theda), Jeannie D'Haeseleer (and Walter) and Michael Eaton (and Melanie); grandchildren, Chris Eaton (and Lisa), Stephen Eaton (and Mandy) Brian D'Haeseleer and Kendahl Eaton; a great-granddaughter, Lindsay Eaton; his sister-in-law, Jeanne McLean of Tallahassee; a nephew, Scott Eaton (and Margie) of Marietta, Ga.; and a sister, Edna Nolan of Acworth, Ga. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Pearl Eaton, and a brother, James Eaton.
