Winnifred A. (Brickett) Blaine

TALLAHASSEE, FL: Winnifred A. (Brickett) Blaine, 88, formerly of Hampstead, NH, and the wife of the late Henry S. Blaine, passed away on May 15, 2013.

Born in Hampstead on July 30, 1924, Mrs. Blaine was the daughter of the late William R. and Blanche L. (Huston) Brickett.

Mrs. Blaine graduated from Hampstead High School, Class of 1942, and continued her education at Burdett Business School in Boston, MA. She worked for several years as a secretary for various civil service agencies, and retired in 1988 following eight years of service at the Orlando Naval Training Center. Mrs. Blaine was a former member of the Hampstead Congregational Church. In 1973 she and her husband moved to Winter Park, FL where she joined the Winter Park Presbyterian Church. She moved to Westminster Oaks Retirement Community in Tallahassee in 2002.

Mrs. Blaine is survived by her children, William Blaine (and wife Ellen Mulligan) of Gilford, NH; Quentin Blaine (and his wife Marcia Schmidt) of Plymouth, NH; Sandra Blaine (and husband Dave Dawe) of Santa Rosa, CA; John Blaine (and wife Laurel Somero) of New Ipswich, NH; Edwin Blaine (and wife Martha Torio) of Port St. Lucie, FL; Mary Blaine Eichin (and husband Kurt Eichin) of Tallahassee; FL; Dee Blaine, wife of her late stepson Harry C. Blaine; thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; and sisters, Dorothy Husband of Del City, OK, and June Parker of Hudson, NH.

Friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the Hampstead Congregational Church on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at West Hampstead Cemetery.
