Alford Burns

BURNS, Alford E., 79, of Tampa, died July 12, 2006. Hewas born March 2, 1927, in Crawfordville, Fla. He came to Tampa from the Lakeland and Mulberry area. He was a self-employed salesman. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a paratrooper. He received the Purple Heart and was at the Battle of the Bulge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Opal; daughter, Pam; five brothers, two sisters and his parents. He is survived by two daughters, Betty White, Brandon, Fla. and Sandra Burns, Valrico, Fla.; and one grandson, Jonathan White of Brandon, Fla. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2006, at Heath Funeral Chapel, 328 S. Ingraham Ave., Lakeland. Heath Funeral Chapel (863) 682-0111
