My memories of Johnny also go back to the early days at Seminole Presbyterian church when I was a youngster. Johnny was my Sunday School teacher. He always was patient with me and put up with my off the wall antics. He never told my Mom (Cubby as everyone called her) about what I done. I'll forget the lingering look he gave me when I would come up with some idiotic question to ask him..
I am a Christian and trust in my Lord Jesus today partly because of Johnny. It wasn't not only his Christian teachings, but he gave me a good Christian example to live by. He put what he taught into his everyday life as a God fearing man. I also remember his wife, Glenda. I thought she was beautiful and should be in the movies. Johnny was he most blessed man alive, I thought. Not only because of Glenda, but also that '57 red Chevrolet he drove. I tried to buy it from him but he said he couldn't accept a quarter, a rubber band and a Brock candy bar wrapper for the Chevy. I talked to him several years ago and he said he still had it, Wow!
Truly I admired him a Christian man serving his Lord. There is no doubt in this whole wide world that Johnny is living up to what Jesus promised, "In my Fathers house there are many mansions and I go to prepare a place for Johnny as well as anyone who, like Johnny, trusted in his Savior.
Glena, I am so sorry we couldn't be at the service to tell Johnny "So long, till we met again and we will meet again". However, my health has gone down hill and I have trouble walking.
Rest assured Glenda you will be in mine and Susan's prayers for the Lord to give you strength, comfort encouragement and love as only our God can.
God will bless you, this we know.
In Christian Love,
Joe and Susan Culbreath

Johnny was my Sunday School teacher when I was 10 years old at Seminole Heights Presbyterian Church. My daddy was a Sunday School teacher right beside us and he would lean over the petition and tell us to behave ourselves as we always had so much fun with Johnny!!! Later on as adults he would decorate the outside of their home for our annual Sunday School Christmas party. He always said he didn't want to do it but he did it because he loved us!!!! Those were the days!!!! We love you, Johnny!!! ❣
