Andrew KOHUT Obituary

KOHUT, Andrew Jr. age 80, a 15 year resident of Laughlin, NV, pas-sed away suddenly on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, at his home in Laughlin. Andy was born on Oct. 21, 1933, in Peckville, PA, to Andrew Kohut Sr. and Irene Kohut (both predeceased). Andy was raised in Rutherford, NJ. He graduated from Rutherford High School, and Fairleigh Dickenson University. His major was marketing and he made a career in advertising with U.S. Testing Corp in New Jersey. After serving in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, Andy relocated to Florida with his wife and children. He was an advertising art department manager with the St. Petersburg Times newspaper for 24 years. After retiring in 1993, Andy and his wife moved to Laughlin, NV, where he actively continued his artwork. He was a gifted artist and did a lot of art for the community, his church and for local businesses. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Patricia; six children: sons, Andrew (Diana), Robert (Christine), Paul Andrews (Michele), Chris (Mayumi); and daughters, Janeen Andrews, and Lisa Mair; six grandchildren, Nicholas (Jenelle), Bryan, Kevyn, Riley, Robby and Heather; and three great-grand-children, Maegan, Andrew and Liam. Andy is also survived by his sister, Cheryl Knight (Thomas). A celebration of his life will be held in the near future. (date unspecified)
