CAPUTO, Antonio Frank "Sonny" "Tony" passed away Feb. 14, 2021. Tony was born June 16, 1934 in Stamford, Connecticut. He worked for North East Utilities until his retirement. He also worked every weekend as a house painter in Connecticut. He was a volunteer fireman in Springdale. A man of many talents, Tony played the drums in the fire department's marching band. As an avid sportsman, Tony played softball, bowled in several leagues where he once had a perfect 300 game, and enjoyed golf, particularly on the several occasions he scored a hole-in-one. Upon retirement, he and his wife, Irene, moved to Clearwater Florida. He is predeceased by Irene. He is survived by his children, Michele, Anthony and Carolyn; Carolyn's husband, Lou Saracco; their sons, Vinnie and Nick; sister, Rose; in-laws, Mary Zis, Richard DelVecchio; and nieces and nephews. He is loved and missed by family and friends. Services will be held at Curlew Hills Funeral Home, 2 pm, Feb. 18, 2021.

Michele, Anthony, Carolyn and family,
I was very sorry to read this about your Dad. He was a great guy. I remember when he painted my grandmother's front porch on Hamilton Ave and he painted the numbers 220 in blue . Everytime I went by the house the numbers stood out and I would think if him.
We all went to The Oakdale Theatre my Aunt Carol, Uncle Joe your mom and dad and in the car on way home in conversation your dad made a comment "That everyone has a number don't push it." I never forgot that and I quote him till today. My deepest sympathy and prayers. Michele

Tony and I shared a golf cart almost every Saturday for 18 years. In all that time not one angry word passed between us! He was a good friend and I will miss him dearly until we meet again on the First Tee. He was a really nice guy!
