My sympathies to Barbara's family, especially her brother, Bob. I remember her being a good friend and a talented student in my acting classes some years ago.

My deepest sympathies go out to the Malia and Bower family. I had known Barbara for so many years, she was like a sister. What I remember most is her wonderful sense of humor, her great sense of loyalty and sincerity. Years and miles did not distance our friendship. I hope you find comfort in knowing that she will be greatly missed.

I still sit here with tears in my eyes and disbelief that my best buddy from high school days is gone. I have so many memories of Barbara that I could write a book. I will try to keep it brief. I remember all the wonderful Sunday dinners at her family's home, all the parties with the "John Carroll boys", all the girl talk, being roommates for 3 years. When she and Bill got married our lives went in completely different directions, but we always remained close friends. She NEVER forgot my birthday. I would always look forward to her very funny cards and laugh out loud as I did when we were teenagers. Her sense of humor, loyalty and sincerity are the qualities I remember most about Barbara. Of course, I am going to miss my very dear friend Barbara very much. It gives me comfort to know that she was surrounded by love by her devoted family.

Bill,
I'd like to express my most sincere sympathy to you and the whole Malia/Bower family.
A favorite memory for me is the time Barb got You, Brad and me to go with her as extras in that FL lottery ad. There was a lot of time traveling and standing around and Barb was at her entertaining best so we had a lot of laughs. It ended up being a really fun time. Just remembering it makes me smile.
