Barbara TAYLOR Obituary

TAYLOR, Barbara S. 92, went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 20, 2012. She was born in Cleveland, OH, to Raymond S. and C. Ruth Shriver. She was predeceased by her loving husband, E. Bruce Taylor, Jr. and her brother, Phillip R. Shriver of Miami, OH. Barbara graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1942. She was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta. She taught school until 1948, when she married and moved to Tampa. She was a member of the Amaryllis Garden Club and Bayside Community Church. She was a devoted Christian and loving mother and grandmother. She touched so many lives in her 92 years here on earth. Survivors include her daughter, Deborah T. Kemp (Arthur) of Tampa; son, E. Bruce Taylor III of Tampa and daughter Pamela Taylor of Wesley Chapel. Grandchildren include Barbara Dotson (Kevin), David Kemp (Cara), Rachel and Jonathan Powell, Rebekah O'Donley (Eric) and her great-grandchildren include Matthew Dotson (Megan), Tyler and Jacob Dotson, Crystal and Jolee Kemp. Great-great grandchildren include: Marrisa and Mason Dotson and Viktore O'Donley, and nieces & nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday, Oct. 23rd from 6-8 pm and funeral services will be held on Oct. 24th at 11 am, both at Blount & Curry Funeral Home 605 S. MacDill Avenue. Interment will follow at Sylvan Abbey in Clearwater. Pallbearers will be Arthur Kemp, Kevin Dotson, David Kemp, Jonathan Powell, Matthew, Tyler & Jacob Dotson. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to a charity of your choice.
