Brian COBB Obituary

COBB, Brian William 51, of Tampa, passed away unexpectedly of natu-ral causes on Aug. 1, 2013. A life-long resident of Tampa, he was born on Feb. 1, 1962. Brian was a proud graduate of the Boys Academy and Jesuit High School. He attended Loyola University New Orleans and his beloved University of Florida (Go Gators!), where he was initiated as a brother of Sigma Alpha Ep-silon fraternity. He worked for Fowler White Boggs, and most re-cently for Home Depot, and Haas Automation. A Man for Others and a True Gentleman, he was blessed with a kind heart, was a loyal friend to many and a selfless doer of good deeds. Brian deeply loved and was a protective uncle to his many nieces, nephews and his god-daughter. Many a potential suitor had to pass muster with their "Uncle Buck". Brian was preceded in death by his mother, Therese Larsen Cobb and his grandpar-ents, Roy and Catherine Larsen and D.P. and Vera Cobb. He is survived by his father, David Cobb (Terri) of Tampa and Bush-nell, FL; sisters, Melissa Cobb Legier (Bill) and Lora Cobb Zavada (Randy); brother, Barton Cobb (Kathy); stepbrothers, Jeff Reamer (Sue), David Reamer (Jean); stepsister, Ellen Reamer Gaynor (Mike); nephews, Rick Zavada (Shannon), Nicholas Cobb, Jeremy Cobb, Jeff Reamer (Jessica) J.D. Reamer, Jack Reamer, William Legier Jr.; nieces, Amanda Smith, Kellie Zavada Michelson (Sean), Kacie, Sue and Stephanie Zavada, Kristie Cobb Hacke (Keith), Sarah Reamer, Leslie, Rachel and Michelle Gaynor, Shelby Reamer, Devon Stewart and Madelyn Stewart; and his faithful Golden Retriever, Bourbon. There will be many celebrations of Brian's life but all are invited to a Memorial Mass to be cele-brated by Fr. Robert Cadrecha at St. Anthony's Chapel at Jesuit High School at 1 pm on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013. Because of his love for Jesuit High School and all animals, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation to be made in his memory to Jesuit High School, 4701 N. Himes Ave., Tampa, FL 33614 or the Humane Society of Tampa Bay at 3607 North Armenia Ave, Tampa, FL 33607.

Brian was a true friend to me and many others at Jesuit. Unfortunately, our paths crossed only a few times after graduation but on each occasion, he was always the same genuine friend I had known in school. Brian was a wonderful man who never lost that youthful smile and his ability to create laughter and joy. He will certainly be missed be me and a multitude of others who were fortunate enough to know him. The Alvarez family extends our sincerest sympathies to the Cobb family and we will keep you all in our prayers.

Already missing his warm hugs and amazing shoulder massages. Brian was so supportive of his friends and never met a stranger - a truly kind soul. Almost 10 years ago we were celebrating memories of his mom. It's so surreal that we are now doing the same for him. I know he will be watching over us all. He will be expecting us to live life socially and fully. And every chance I get, I will raise my glass to honor his memory. Here's to Brian!

Brian was a wonderful life long friend. A true gentleman who sincerely cared for others. Looking at the photo here says it all. He was happy, full of spunk, loved life and enjoyed it to its fullest. I along with many others will miss him. I feel blessed to have had him in my life and all of the Cobb clan. My heart and prayers are with all of you.
