Bryant EVANS Obituary

EVANS, Bryant John

of Tampa, FL, formerly of Sanford, ME, passed away suddenly January 25, 2017. He graduated as a draftsman initially and went on to start his own company, Evans Painting and Restoration in Florida. He cofounded the Montessori Children's House School in Hyde Park in 1996. Bryant loved creating homes, furniture, wood working, and anything he could do with his hands. Also an avid car lover, he enjoyed European cars and adored going to car shows. Bryant became an Irish citizen some years ago and the family traveled to Ireland yearly. He is survived by his wife, Amanda; daughter, Victoria; mother; brothers; sister; and extended family. Tragically taken too young, his remains will be interred in St. Mary's Church, Leixlip, Ireland in March. A celebration of his life will be held in Tampa at a later date. Bryant was to all of us a wonderful neighbor and friend. We were all shocked and saddened to hear of his sudden passing. He was always ready to help anyone with whatever house work and home repairs they needed, and was a source of good advice always. He was a good person, dedicated to his wife and daughter, and a role model for what it meant to be a family man. We will miss him dearly.

I am so fortunate I was able to connect with my 1/2 Uncle Bryant over the past couple of years. I learned about his life in Florida and Ireland, his wonderful wife Amanda and his precious daughter Victoria. We corresponded through social media, with stories about our families and our likes and dislikes our hobbies, but mostly about each other, we were going to get together the next time he came to Maine so we could meet each others spouses and really get to visit. God made it possible for me to be in my uncles life even though for a short time I will carry his memory in my heart forever. I love you Uncle Bryant till we meet. Amanda, Bryant always spoke of you and Victoria with such love I feel as though I have already met you and Victoria through Bryant. So with that said my Love to you and Victoria. With my heartfelt sympathy I am thinking of you and Victoria during this sad time and sending love and prayers.
