Carmelo Alessi Obituary

ALESSI, Carmelo M., 92 of Tampa, Fla., passed away on Christmas Day at 2 p.m. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Alessi, and brothers, John and Joe Alessi. Mr. Alessi was born in Tampa but attended schools in Rome, Italy. He was one of the founders of Alessi Brothers Bakery and an active member of the West Tampa Optimist Club for many years. Survivors include his son, Nick Alessi; daughter, Rosalie Stadtlander; grand- children, Mark and Nicole Alessi and Carla and Dean Stadtlander; great grand- children, Andrew and Rachel Stadtlander; sisters, Fifa Ciaccio and Frances Perrone. Active pallbearers include Nick J. Alessi, Phil Alessi, Joe Alessi, Jr., Anthony Perrone, Mark Alessi, Dean Stadtlander, Andrew Russo and Ron Russo. Honorary pallbearers include Joe Ciaccio, Fred Massaro, Julio Giovenco, E. J. Salcines and Vincent Genco. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, December 28, 2002 at the Boza & Roel Funeral Home, 4730 N. Armenia Ave. with Pastor Ted T. Fielland officiating. Entombment to follow in Garden of Memories. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of service at 12 noon at the funeral home chapel.
