Catherine HUGGINS Obituary
Malone, 58, passed away June 28, 2019.Born December 3, 1960, she was preceded in death by her father, Ferdinand Phinizy Malone and is survived by her grieving mother, Dorothy Outler Malone; brothers, Marcus (Roseanne) and David Malone; nephews, Matthew and Andrew Malone; niece, Margaret Rose Malone; and close loving friend, Rick Hankins. She also leaves behind husband, Gary Huggins (separated). Cathy was a member of First United Methodist Church, graduate of Dixie Hollins High School in 1978 and attended St. Petersburg Junior College. She enjoyed a 40 year career at Raymond James as a senior administrative assistant in the Eagle Asset Management Group. Cathy was a warm and outgoing person with a passion for animals. She was the happiest when spending time with her rescue dog, Champ and her Morgan horse, Victor. An informal Celebration of Life will be held July 13, 11 am, in the Church Fellowship Hall, 2nd Ave and 3rd St. North followed by brunch. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Pet Pals Animal Shelter, 405 22nd St. South, St Petersburg, FL 33712 or a charity of your choice.

I was just wondering what had happened to my best friend from High School and was stunned to see this appear. I have no words. She was such a huge part of my youth and I will always remember her with love and happiness. I was looking forward to celebrating our 60th next year since our birthdays were so close. I just heard today about Cathy. I am so sorry. We boarded our horses at the same barn when she first brought Victor back to Pinellas Park. What a great person she was. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.

I worked with Cathy at Eagle for more than 30 years. She always had a ready smile and that is something I will miss seeing each day. Her love for her pets, and all animals was one of her defining qualities. Cathy will be missed by all of us here at Eagle. For her family, I hope you can find some comfort from knowing that she was loved by so many.
