Charles Creech Obituary

CREECH, Maj. Charles, 36, of the U.S. Air Force, entered into rest May 22, 2011. Charles is survived by his loving wife, Sara; daughter, Rachel Creech; sons, Jacob and Arron Creech; sister, Cathy Pelosi; brother, James Creech; and his mother, Jamie Creech. Charles was a member of the 310 Airlift Squadron after graduating from the Air Force Academy. Chuck spent the next 14 years serving around the globe, including several tours in Afghanistan. He was the recipient of two Meritorious Service Medals for outstanding performance and four Air Medals for combat flights. He was an avid outdoorsman, who shared with his children his passion for flying, fishing and service to his country. His greatest sadness was leaving behind a wife, who was his soul mate, and his

three children, whom he loved so dearly. He did not just walk through life, he lived it. He was charismatic, funny and full of mischief. His star burned brightly and then faded, all too soon. He made an impact on all who knew him and will be deeply missed. "Meanwhile, our dear Chuck has put out the sign, gone fishing." Friends may visit 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at the McDill Air Force Base Chapel, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Bay Pines National Cemetery, St. Petersburg, Fla.
