Glenda Cooper Obituary

COOPER, GLENDA S.— Of Springport. Glenda was born on September 17, 1947 and went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 23, 2007 under the loving care of her family and Visiting Nurse Services of Michigan Hospice. Glenda is survived by Alton, her husband of 43 years; daughter, Theresa (John) Bennett of Fowlerville; son, Randy (Angie) Cooper of Eaton Rapids; ten grandchildren; brother, Michael (Sue) Robertson of Lansing; and many nieces and nephews. Glenda was an active member of the Capitol City Baptist Church Deaf Ministry and was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She cherished her home and family and committed her life to their care. She loved the outdoors, gardening, tending her lawn and flower beds, camping and walking in the woods. God blessed her family with an angel, and we now release her back into the arms of her loving Savior. We are not saying goodbye, but see you soon when Jesus returns to take His children home to Heaven. God bless her sweet spirit. She will always be in our hearts with golden memories of times gone by. "Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates." Rest now, my love, in the arms of Jesus until we meet again. A memorial service will be conducted for family and friends at the Capitol City Baptist Church Deaf Chapel, 5100 Willoughby, Holt, MI on Saturday, June 30 at 10:00 a.m. with the Reverend Erwin Robertson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Glenda's memory to the Capitol City Baptist Church Deaf Chapel. Arrangements by the Shelly-Odell Funeral Home, Eaton Rapids.
