Dannie Jones Obituary

JONES, Dannie Joe, age 51, of "Parts unknown" died Monday March 29, 2004 in Brevard County. Dannie was a native of Florida, born August 17, 1952 in Taylor County. Dannie specialized in the steel guitar. He played with the Bellamy Brothers for 14 years. He had also spent time playing with, Martin Del Ray and the Southland Trio. Dannie traveled to many different parts of the world playing the steel. He also recorded with Buck Owens. Dannie was Pentecostal by faith. Dannie Joe Jones is survived by his mother, Kathleen (Robinson) Jones of Lake Placid; son, Steven of Plant City and siblings, Willie of Clinton, TN, Wanda Clinard of Lake Placid, Debbie Thornton of Lake Placid and Susie Faye Dawson of Palmdale, FL. He leaves behind three grand- children, Ariel, Kaylee and Cierra. Family will receive friends Thursday April 1, 2004 at the Placid Temple Church of God. Calling hours will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 2, 2004 also at the Church. Burial wi ll follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Lake Placid. Reverend Darius Walden of the Living Waters Church of God, Sebring will celebrate. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the American Lung Assoc. of Gulf Coast, Fl. Inc., East Bay Regional Office, 15438 N. Florida Ave., #102, Tampa, Fl. 33613 or Farm Aid, PO Box 228, Champaign, Illinois 61824 or call 1-800-FARM AID.
