Dean Goldsmith

GOLDSMITH, Dean, 73, of Sun City Center, Fla., passed away June 30, 2005. He served as a math teacher and guidance counselor in Hills- borough County at Madison Junior High School, Robinson High School and Bayshore Christian School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean conflict. Dean graduated from the University of Tampa and is the son of the late Dr. and Mrs. William M. Goldsmith of Tampa. He was a 50-year member of the National Eagle Scout Association, and an active member of Gideons International and Kiwanis International. Dean was a dedicated Christian servant in his local church throughout his life. Since moving to Sun City Center, Dean had been a member of Trinity Baptist Church. His survivors include his wife of 50 years, Marian; two daughters, Jolynn Stevens and Suanne Goldsmith; a sister, Judith Benoit; son-in-law, John L. Stevens; three grandchildren, Jason Dean Stevens, Amyruth Stevens and Kashi Goldsmith; and seven nieces and nephews. The memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2005, at Freedom Plaza, 1010 American Eagle Blvd., Sun City Center. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to LifePath Hospice, 3725 Upper Creek Drive, Sun City Center, FL 33573, or Metropolitan Ministries of Tampa, 2002 North Florida Ave., Tampa, FL 33602.
