Josephine De Cristo, 87, of West Windsor, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Bear Creek Assisted Living. Born in Brooklyn, she resided in Matawan for most of her life before moving to the Four Seasons community in Allentown where she resided for 9 years. Josephine worked as a secretary for John Brunetti Construction Corporation and after her retirement, went on to work for Lord and Taylor for several years. A former member of St. Clement Church in Matawan and of St. John’s Church in Allentown, Josephine was a wonderful cook and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Predeceased by her husband, James De Cristo and her five siblings, Josephine is survived by her children and their spouses, Diane and Thomas Miller of Bridgewater, James and Marianne De Cristo of Winston Salem, NC and Jill and Neil Shuttner of Millstone Twp., NJ; her grandchildren, Christopher Miller and his wife Aileen, Molly Ropero and her husband, Michael, Daniela De Cristo, Richard “Jamie” Shuttner and Daniel Shuttner as well as many nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held Monday, November 26th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am on Tuesday at St. John the Baptist RC Church, Allentown. Interment will follow in Old Tennent Cemetery.

Tom and Diane... may you find solace in the company of your friends and family during this difficult time. Your mother was blessed to have such devoted children to take for her during her illness. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.
