Edward Rees Obituary

Rees, Edward

85, passed away on December 25, 2024. He was born in the family home on Washington Street in New Port Richey, and known by most as Bobby or Bob (a nickname his sister gave him at birth). He was known as "Peewee" at Gulf High School (class of 1958) where he was an All-Conference high school baseball player. He had Holiday Barber Shop since 1966 and Cracker Bob's Concrete Lawn Ornaments since 1985. He was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. With a lifelong love for his family, friends, baseball and photography, he was a hardworking and generous man who didn't know a stranger. Bobby was always there for anyone in need and any stray cat. He will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his son, Edward Rees III. He is survived by his wife, Sally Kerns Rees; daughters, Amanda Payne, Deborah Diaz; a sister, Joan Rees Murray; grandchildren, Logan and Carlin Payne. Service, Jan. 4, 2025 at 3 pm at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 13602 Hicks Rd., Hudson, FL 34669. For zoom info: 727-266-0519.

Pee Wee and I went to school together all the way from Pierce Grammer School. He was always friendly and polite. Good at sports too. Always ready to give a helping hand.
