Aaron, Angelique & Dreama,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time of sorrow. I will always treasure my memories of singing with Elyse in our Choir, Women's Ensemble and Mixed Ensemble at Manhattan Baptist back in the 80's and early 90's.. We were always cracking up and enjoying our fellowship with each other. She gave me the most beautiful little outfit for our son, Matthew (born 5/29/88). I have it packed away to pass on to any grandchildren I pray to have one day. Angelic when I told you this story you shared with me that the shower the Ladie's Ensemble had for me was the first baby shower you got to attend. Your Mom was a kind and generous woman and definately had the light of God showing through her and around her. She will be missed by so many but mostly by you, her children. She was so very proud of all of you. Please carry that thought with you for the rest of your lives. It will bring you great comfort. Hang on to the Lord as she taught you and there will be blessings to come for all of you. If you need anything please do not hesitate to contact me.
Heartfelt sympathies,
Diane Glenham

My memories are from Robinson High School as we sang together in the concert choir in the contralto section. Elyse was so cute and so talented. I tried to sing like she did, never as well, but she was a great role model. She reminded me of a little energetic "Shirley Temple"..so sweet and so kind. Wonderful years of our youth.
Our paths crossed again many years later, and we shared about some trials of life...but the great part was that I found out Elyse was a believer in Jesus. AWESOME! That is the most important and best decision anyone can ever make. To her beloved family...let this be your comfort and your peace and also your bright future. God bless you all. Most Sincerely,
Valorie (Cacciatore) Vied

There are many wonderful memories of Elyse during our "Cinderella" years. She loved her family very much and was a friend to many. Dreama, you inherited your Mom's ability to "light up a room." May you always take that light with you in your heart.

Love, Mary Sullivan

Dear Aaron, Angelique and Dreama my heart and prayers are with you in this time of sympathy. I first met your mom about 25 years ago when my now ex husband Bobby hung out at the Bike store. He then lost his job and started working at the bike store. I saw you guys grow up. She passed us many bags of clothing for my daughter Jennifer that Angelique had outgrown. Bob and I were having a hard time and your mom just pitched right in to help. She even sent us a tricycle for Jennifer. She came in the bike shop one day and Bob was just as red in the face as could be, and your mom, being a nurse, told him he had chicken pox. And boy was she right.! Then Jennifer got them, then my 2 year old son Jarrod got them. Your mom sent over a box full of Calomine lotion! She and I laughed about that alot. Your mom was a wonderful person. One time she gave Bob a big tray of Yellow rice and chicken to bring home to us. Bob got hungry for lunch at the bike shop and ate the whole tray. Then she asked me how was the Yellow rice? Again she and I laughed about how Bobby ate the whole tray!! Oink Oink!!! I will always be greatful for her help in our time of need. She sent alot of food and clothing to us. I am eternally greatful to her kindness and selflessness. You all can be very proud of your mother and the kind of person she was. Today in church our music conductor gave us the news of your mom's passing and I was shocked and overwhelmed. Please find comfort in knowning how well loved she was and is. Our hearts are with you and I pray for you and your family. She will be greatly missed by all she touched.

As many others have professed...I too have been touched forever by Elyse Walker. Ironically enough she and my father dated in highschool at Robinson. My mother and Elyse became great friends as well. When I got married to Mike Frankland, 14 years ago.... Only your mother could sing at my wedding. Oh how beautiful it was!!! Then there was Cheri, my sister's wedding as well. Elyse has always held a special place in my heart for her generosity, loving, and magnetic personality that I will always remember and aspire to. She has and will continue to touch many lives. I consider myself blessed to have known and experienced the love and life of Elyse Walker. Tami Hadley Frankland

Elyse was and is a beautiful witness for the Lord. Her life was an example to be followed and she touched everyone's life so deeply. We will miss her shining spirit but can have peace in her new life.

I was telling a friend about Elyse a few weeks ago and how great it was to have been in a band with her called the Coachmen when we were in high school.

She was such a great singer and wonderful entertainer. Our band played all the rec centers and appeared a few times on the local Hi Times television dance show. God bless her family and friends.

Elyse was first married to Bruce Knox, one of my band members. You have to have a special ability to interact with people when you are married to a musician. She had that! I am sad to hear of her passing.

Alyse will be missed dearly. We had planned on playing video games, but never got around to it! She had a kind and gentle spirit that always shone through. I know she is finally gleeful as she worships the Lord in eternity.

I had the privilege of meeting Elyse on two occasions and was in awe of her light and love. She exuded happiness and her faith shown brightly in her smile. I found her to be very joyous to be around. To Aaron, Angelique and Dreama I send my sincere sympathy in the loss of your mother. I know that you three were everything to her. Mrs. T you know how my heart goes out to you and I love you. Tony, you know our hearts are with you and our arms are around you! Val and George, we send our sympathies to you, also, knowing that losing a sibling is a very difficult process. May God be with each of you at this very difficult time.
Love, Marlene and Tom Daniels & family

Dear friends and family, our family is also accepting donations so that we may adopt a lovely flowering tree on Bayshore Blvd in our mother's honor. We know that we will continue hear stories of how our mother encouraged others.

My heart goes out to Elyse's family, which I consider my extended family. I know she will be missed terribly. She was a vibrant person who had so much love for her Lord, and for her mother, her brothers and sisters, and most especially for her children (I know she was very proud of them.) If there's any comfort in this great loss it is knowing that she is home now, with her Father, and when the time comes, she will be waiting to greet us with loving and open arms. God blessed us for the time she was here and we should be greatful for that time.

I am shocked and saddened by Elyses passing. Tuesdays and Thursdays will never be the same for me. I am grateful she 'touched' my life as I hers.
Your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
