Emilio SALABARRIA Obituary

SALABARRIA, Emilio

85, a Tampa native, passed away September 16, 2018 in Tampa, FL. He served his country during the Korean War onboard the U.S.S. Iowa. He also served the community as a member of the Tampa Fire Department and the State of Florida Fire Marshal's Office. He is survived by his wife, Alicia; brother, Frank and spouse, Delores; sister, Margaret and spouse, Robert; children, Sandra and spouse Albert, Emilio and spouse, Elizabeth, and Ricardo and spouse, Roxanne; grandchildren, Ryan and spouse, Stacey, Michael, Emilio and spouse, Ashley, Matthew, Ciara and spouse, Hector, Ricardo, and Anthony; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Avery, and Maximiliano. The family will hold a celebration of life for Emilio October 4, 2018, 1 pm, at the Tampa Firefighters Museum, 720 E. Zack St., Tampa, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or The Wounded Warrior Project.

My Uncle and family. What a man. I want to remember him as when I last saw him. He was the life of any gathering. Telling jokes and laughing is how he lived his life.

He was always there for me. He will never be forgotten and may he now rest among the Angels in Heaven.

very sorry to hear about Emilio.I entered the Navy with him in Jacksonville 1950. We then went to SanDiego for training and later parted ways after training. May God Bless Him and family --Mike A Menes

To the Salabarria family,
My deepest sympathy. I knew your father as a kid and we worked together at the dairy. Later on at the Tampa Fire Dept. I took him home the day he retired and wished him the best. He was one of the nicest persons I knew.
