Erlinda CAPUA Obituary

CAPUA, Erlinda Castillo 85, of Largo, died on June 18, 2024. She was born in Isabela, Philippines and came here in 1977 from New Jersey. She was a nurse and medical practice office manager; member, volunteer and Eucharistic Minister of St. Matthew Catholic Church, Largo; founder of Philippine Cultural Foundation Inc. (PCFI) and recipient of Distinguished Service Award; 3-term President of Philippine Medical Auxiliary of Florida, West Coast Chapter; member of Filipino-American Club of Pinellas County and Philippine Choral Group. Survivors include her husband, Dr. Anacleto; sons, Dr. Joseph (Dr. Stephanie) and David; daughter, Melissa Mitchell (Dr. Paul). She is survived by four grandchildren, Stephen, Ava, Dylan and Emma; and also survived by siblings, Corazon (Pablo), Pere-grina, Rodolfo (Carolina), Elena (Samuel), Lourdes (Justiniano), and Dr. Federico. She was predeceased by siblings, Dr. Pedro Jr. (Lilia), Ramon (Fe Elena) and Maria Lourdes. Funeral Mass at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Largo is on July 19, 11 am, followed by entombment at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Donations in her memory to St. Matthew Catholic Church, stmat.org or to Florida Hospice and Palliative Care Association, floridahospices.org
