Eugene Masterson Obituary

MASTERSON, Eugene R. 65, of Clearwater, and Point Pleasant Beach, NJ, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008, at the Morton Plant Hospital, in Clearwater. Born in Jersey City, he was raised in New Brunswick,and lived in Milltown. Summering in Point Pleasant Beach, residing there permanently for the past 5 years, he loved wintering in Florida, in Clearwater. Mr. Masterson retired from Public Service Electric and Gas, Somerset. An avid boater, he also enjoyed music and traveling, especially going on cruises. A beloved husband and loving father, he is survived by his wife of 44 years, Marianne Michaylin Masterson; his daughter and son in law, Stephanie and Scott Brown; 2 precious grandchildren, Megan and Dylan; 2 brothers, Robert Masterson and his wife Kathi, and Donald Masterson; 2 nephews, Bob, Jr. and Michael; his niece Melissa; & many dear friends. Friends may visit from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Thursday at the Pable-Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, 732-899-3300. On Friday, at 9 am, a Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Peter's Church, Point Pleasant Beach, followed by interment at Saint Anne's Cemetery, Wall. As an expression of sympathy, contributions made in his memory to the Ronald McDonald House, 131 Bath Avenue, Long Branch, NJ 07740 or visit www.rmh-cnj.org, are suggested.

My Dear Marianne,
Our love, prayers, and good thoughts go out to you during this painful time. Needless to say, we were anxiously looking forward to seeing you in Clearwater. The Dear Lord had a different path for you and Gene. God Bless and Gene will give you the tremendous support you will need at this time.
