Bopp, Evelyn W.
age 101, passed away of natural causes on September 18, 2025, at her home in Tampa, Florida.
Evelyn was born an only child on January 30, 1924, in Moline, Illinois, to her parents Fairy and Roe Dauphaus Wiginton. She graduated from United Township High School and attended Augustana College. She was married on April 12, 1945, in Fort Benning, Georgia, to Major Edward L. Bopp, the love of her life.
Evelyn has been a member of Christ the King Catholic Church since 1951. She was a member of Catholic Women's Club, the OWLS, Care Club and Circle 8. She was also a member of the Officers Wives Club and the Military Widows Club. She passed her Real Estate exam in 1959 and earned the Certified Residential Specialist designation. Evelyn and Ed owned Bopp Realty for many years and later she joined Coldwell Banker Realty as an active Broker Associate. She was President of the Women's Council of the Tampa Board of Realtors.
She and her husband were charter Buccaneers ticket holders and never missed a game. In fact, she was often recognized by the Buccaneer purse that she carried constantly. She and her husband were soul mates until his passing in 1994.
Evelyn treasured her many friendships in Tampa, and she will be missed by many in the Tampa Bay area. She was vibrant and active until her passing. She loved her family dearly and her greatest joy came from spending time with them. She especially enjoyed family dinners and holiday get-togethers with children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She truly accomplished a Life Well Lived and she was surrounded by love!
She sincerely appreciated her care from her Harbor House family as well as "Rosy" Ossi and the team from Rosemary Home Care, Vivian, Iraisi and Mariela. Rosy was truly like a daughter and Evelyn loved her so much.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her loving husband Ed and adoring daughter Suzanne. She is survived by her two sons, Harry Edward (Judy) and Thomas Roe (Maxine) and her four grandchildren, Kelly Cone (Hunter), Courtney Jones (Austin), Tom Bopp and Kendall Bopp. She is also survived by her precious great-grandchildren Hunt Cone, Hallie Cone, Taylor Jones, and Turner Jones.
