1942 - 2021

LYNCH, F. Wayne 79, of Brandon, FL, was born July 14, 1942 on Miller Road in Brandon and left this world for his Heavenly home November 7, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his daughter, Andrea Gale Lynch Wurzel Rivera. He is survived his wife and the love of his life of 58 years, Charlotte Scogin Lynch; his beloved grandchildren, Rebekah Gale of California, Zachary Martin of Chicago, IL, Marissa Andrea and Mikalah Anna both of California; brother, Al (Linda) Bevis of Plant City, FL; brother-in-law, Buck Scogin of Brandon, FL; and sister-in-law, Gale Scogin (Jim) Wallace of Georgia. Wayne was a charter member of Bell Shoals Baptist Church, Brandon, working with the youth group and the discipling ministries. His love for the Lord was in every word and every sentence that he spoke. Wayne and Charlotte were the first couple to be married in the newly formed church. A 1961 graduate of Brandon High School, he set many basketball records. He had a big heart for young people and was affectionately "Papa" to many. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2 pm, Saturday, November 13, 2021, in the Chapel at Bell Shoals Church, with the family to receive friends one hour prior.
