Frances CARFARO Obituary

CARFARO, Frances Andrea

"Fran" 63, of Treasure Island, went to be with her Lord July 5, 2018, after a short illness. She is survived by her husband of 12 years, Alexander Goldovich; her daughter, Katherine Gomez and her siblings, Valerie, Christopher, Katherine, and Andrew. She is predeceased by her parents, Katherine and Frank Carfaro and her siblings, Stephen, Mark, and Stacie. She was a licensed registered nurse for 42 years, held a BA degree in special education, and was an emergency medical technician. She was involved with the Treasure Islettes, Kairos Prison Ministry, The Innocence Project, and was a lifetime member of the Annandale Volunteer Fire Department. She was a born-again Christian and her brothers and sisters in Christ will remember how she shared agape love and homemade treats with all. She loved whimsical flamingos, vibrant clothing, and would not be seen publicly without stockings. The happiest day of her life was the day her daughter was born. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 4th, 10 am at Faith Fellowship, located at 6646 1st Avenue South, St. Petersburg, FL 33707.

I met Fran in October 2010 at Northern Virginia's first Kairos Outside weekend. She was special to me from the moment I met her. Fran could not stop herself from being soo giving and generous w/her time, herself and her heart. But the most meaningful memory I have is on March 8, 2011 as I was packing up my home of 16 years to move to Illinois and the movers were due that afternoon. I posted on FB that if anyone could come over and help me get the last boxes packed on a rainly Saturday morning, Fran was there for me when no one else was. Packing and moving is the worst experience for me and most, and to drop what she was doing to lend a hand will never be forgotten. We remained friends across the miles ever since. I will see you again my sweet friend. I am happy that you are finally pain free and at peace. Gone too soon...
