We have some wonderful memories of Jerry from our trips to Florida. I can never remember jokes, but the only two I can remember were his. He was such a good time! May you find comfort in the memories of your lives together. Our prayers go out to all of you at this time of sadness. Sending our love - Rob, Christie, Ryan, Katie and Conner Krebs

When I heard the news about Jerry's death I felt a real sense of sadness for those people who love him and will miss him greatly. At the same time, I felt a calming sense of relief for Jerry knowing he was no longer a prisoner in his own body. Jerry was outgoing, you always knew where you stood with him, he worked and played hard and it was very difficult on him the last few years of his life.

I have many fond memories of Jerry but there are a few that really stand out. I will never forget Jerry and Lois dancing at Larry and Christi's wedding reception, how proud he was taking us out for a ride on his boat, the time he got hit with a golf ball innocently standing by the pin, our trip to Busch Gardens, and of course the numerous times he would ask for assistance with food or drink because he “stuck in the corner.”

Perhaps my favorite memory of all was the time we spent driving to the dog races one afternoon. The racetrack was about an hour away. This was the time that Jerry really opened up about the love for his family, and the reason he was so tough on them at times was because he only wanted the absolute best for all of them. From that day forward I always saw him in a different perspective.

Lois, Christi, Patti and Jeff - Life will never be quite the same again now that Jerry is no longer with us. I hope you all find real comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering and made the world a better place. You are all proof of that.

Alyssa, Alex and Amy – Your grandfather loved you all very much, perhaps more than you will ever know. He was so proud to be your Grandpa.

May perpetual life shine upon him and may he rest in peace.
