Gladys D. McCLUNG

McCLUNG, Gladys D. 91, of Largo, died Friday, Aug. 2, 2013 at home. Born March 14, 1922 in Morris, West Virginia, to Lee Otis and Lula Lawson DeMoss. Gladys was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church and the Society of Military Widows. She married the late Col. Boniface D. McClung Sept. 21, 1943; he died Nov. 25, 1991. She is survived by two sons, Joseph "Mike" McClung and his wife Sherrie, and John "Terry" McClung and his wife Anne; brother, Lonnie DeMoss of Birch River, West Virginia; sisters, Janie Acree of Columbus, Ohio and Verge Carte of Villa Rica, Georgia; three grandchildren, Gregory, John and Paul; and three great-grandchildren, Jayden, Nathan and David. A funeral mass will be 11 am, Friday, Aug. 9th at St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Clearwater. Visitation will be 5-7 pm Thursday, Aug. 8th at Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 693 S. Belcher Rd., Clearwater. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
