Guy MORGAN Obituary
91, Franciscan, son of John Joseph Morgan and Mary Stanton Morgan, died March 10, 2017. He entered into the Franciscan Order August 12, 1948 and was ordained into the Priesthood May 15, 1954. His ministry began in several Franciscan parishes and, in 1960, he entered the USAF as a chaplain, and retired in 1980 as Colonel. He continued his ministry in several parishes, retiring to St. Petersburg in 1997. He is survived by a sister, Joan O'Connor and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be 10 am, Tuesday, March 14 at St. Mary Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 9 am until Mass time. Burial to follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Fr Guy married my wife's parents in 1957. Gerard and Janith Morgan. Gerry and Fr Guy were cousins. In 2007 he was there to renew their vows at their 50th wedding anniversary in NY. What a nice man, wish I could have known him better. - Ed S.
