Gwenda WESTERFIELD Obituary
"Gwen" passed away peacefully, on Monday May 1, 2017 at Bayfront Medical Center, with her daughter, Dr. Dena Westerfield, by her side, following a brief illness.
Gwen was born on July 12, 1947, in Columbus, Ohio and moved to Pinellas Park, Florida during her high school years, graduating from Dixie Hollins High School in 1965. She spent the last several years living in Pass-A-Grille.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Loy Dale; her parents, Steve George and Beatrice Beck George; brother, Steve Edward George.
Gwen's wry and candid sense of humor will be missed by her family and friends. In addition to Dena, she leaves behind daughters, Robin (Steve) Clark and Melissa (Ashlee) Hurm. She had two grandchildren, Zachary and Kirby Lynn Clark; a sister, Gail George-(Randy) Coppens; two nephews, Ryan Yoho and Evan Coppens; two grandnieces, Ashleigh and Alyssa Coppens; her sister-in-law, Gera George; many cousins.

I had the pleasure of being Gwen's friend in high school at Dixie Hollins. She was a great lady and a real spitfire. We had so many laughs together. So sorry to hear of her passing. Cherish the wonderful memories. May she rest with the angels.
