Harold Mesa Obituary

MESA, Harold Rodriguez, 91, who was born in 1917, formerly of Jefford St., Clearwater, Fla., and Ross Ave., Tampa, passed peacefully in his sleep February 4, 2009, at St. Josephs John Knox Village Medical Center. He was the beloved son of the late Eladio Mesa and Estella R. Mesa, and loved brother of Fernando R. Mesa of John Knox Village and the late Joseph R. Mesa. Harold was a longtime Clearwater restaurateur who operated The Grey Moss Inn and The West Coast Hotel on Fort Harrison in the winter months and in the summer months lived in Cape Cod, Mass. He was a member of The Saint Cecilia Catholic Church in Clearwater, Florida and Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Tampa, Florida. He will be sadly missed by his brother and his numerous friends. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Harold' s name to the Humane Society of Tampa. Flowers will also be accepted. A memorial Mass for Harold will take place at 9:30 a.m. Monday, March 2, 2009, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 509 S. Florida Ave, Tampa. Interment will immediately follow at the Centro Espanol Memorial Park. Gonzalez Funeral Home
