MCMILLAN, Helen P.

72, of Tampa, passed away Aug. 12, 2015. Funeral service for her will be held on Saturday Aug. 22, 2pm at 29th Street Church of Christ, 3310 N. 29th St, Tampa, with the pastor Brother Perry Johnson, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Samson and Alice Mobley; former husband, Paul McMillan. She is survived by children, John B. McMillan, Angela McMillan Sherry (Allen Sherry), Reginald L. McMillan and Jewell E. McMillan; grandchildren, Ary McMillan, Sr., Drevontrea Strowder, Antasia Sherry, Shantay Sherry, Zamaria Sherry, Diavione McMillan, Natalia Sherry, Jahmiah Bond, Jahmelah Bond, Jamar Bond; great grandchild, Ary McMillan, Jr.; siblings, Samuel L. Mobley, Sr. (Brenda Williams Mobley) and Julia Mobley Walker (Edward Walker); aunts and uncles; and other relatives and friends. A native of Tampa, she was born on July 25, 1943 to the parentage of Samson and Alice Mobley. She was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and was a graduate of George S. Middleton High School, Class of 1961. Helen furthered her education at Gibbs Junior College, St. Petersburg, Class of 1964 where she received her Master's Degree in Elementary Education. There will be a public viewing on Friday Aug. 21, 5-8pm at Wilson Funeral Home. Friends are asked to assemble at the church on Saturday at approximately 1:45 p.m. for the service.
